London-based label MAXIME has presented its new collection, Edition 5 – The Beauty Of Imperfection.
As with the brand’s previous instalments—such as THE ESCAPE capsule, which made its debut during Pitti Uomo last year—the latest “edition” from MAXIME continues to explore the various stories that make up a home, as well as the feelings of serenity, comfort and security that come with it.
Drawing from The House Next Door— a five-floored 19th-century former merchants’ building—the seasonal offering is translated into a mix of relaxed comfort wardrobe, refined tailoring and utility wear-inspired items for the colder months. A heavy double-faced coat in a multi-fabric mix serves as, arguably, the standout piece, as well as a M65 field jacket with matching curved-leg trousers, rendered in a multicoloured jacquard fabric.
In addition to the brand’s new Japanese raw denim sets, the collection also features a range of knitwear, arriving in the form of textured merino wool sweaters, duo-colour jumpers, and hoodies with embroidered details. A raw-edge tailored jacket with matching trousers in sandy hues is also added to the line-up, coming with a fine, dark-brown fil coupe cotton top.
Rounding out the “edition” is a slew of accessories including chunky laced and strapped work boots in the finest Italian leather mixed with structured organic cotton canvas, woven belts, a cross-body messenger and signature-style house logo-shaped leather wallets.
